Magic the Gathering and Wizards of the Coast present Double Masters and Double Masters VIP Edition! This new summer set is full of some spicy reprints of some iconic cards from Magic the Gathering’s history, while also giving us new art for borderless showcase cards that come as box toppers or in the VIP Edition which could come foil. You can preorder these two items at www.diceaddiction.com. This set is available August 7th.
Let’s talk about the product that has me excited the most. Double Masters VIP Edition comes with the following: 33 Cards and 2 Foil Double-Sided Tokens, which include: 2 foil showcase rares or mythics, 2 foil rares or mythics, 8 foil uncommons, 9 foil commons, 12 full-art basic lands (2 are foil), 2 foil double-sided tokens. Now you may be asking what are these showcase cards that you are bragging about. Well they are an an alternate art that is borderless and only available in this product and the two box toppers from the regular Double Master’s booster box. Just for further clarification, we reached out to Wizards of the coast for a comment about the showcase cards. They told us “The borderless showcase cards are found in premium foil in VIP Edition. Each booster box of #MTG2XM has two regular versions of these showcase cards as box toppers. The showcase cards aren't found within booster packs.” So we heard it straight from the horse’s mouth, showcase cards are only going to be in the box topper packs or the Double Masters VIP Edition, which will be foil in the VIP Edition. Are you wondering what some of these showcase cards could be? Well I hope you are as happy we were to see Doubling Season, Blightsteel Colossus, Atraxa, Praetors’ Voice, Mana Crypt, Jace the Mind Sculptor, Karn Liberated, Sword of War and Peace, Wurmcoil Engine and Kaalia of the Vast. And to think, these are just the mythics that have been spoiled as borderless showcase cards at the time of this writing. Showcase cards could also be in other rarities as well, as got borderless showcase cards of the Tron lands, Urza’s Mine, Urza’s Tower, and Urza’s Power plant and man, do they sure look amazing. Even recently banned in Pauper, Expedition Map, is amazing looking as a borderless showcase card. You know what else this set has in it? Unhinged. Full Art. Basic Lands. Yes, you did read that correctly. They are also adding new versions of some of the full art basic lands from Battle For Zendikar. This set will be a very amazing set and the amount of powerful and iconic reprints will make this set sought after for many years to come. Have I mentioned that you can pre order Double Masters VIP Edition at www.diceaddiction.com. This set releases August 7th.
Even if you aren’t lucky enough to get your hands on some of these sweet borderless showcase cards, you can still get yourself a box or two and pull these iconic bad boys in their regular art from the packs. This is the set that keeps on giving with an Exploration reprint, and is also reprinting some spicy cards that many players need to add to their collections. Mark Rosewater is wanting all of your money with what he is firing at us with this set. Some of these cards include Lux Canon, Engineered Explosives, Breya, Etherium Shaper, Dark Confidant, and Glimmervoid. Now if you are wanting to get your hands on these cards, Dice Addiction will have boosters at the MSRP of $17.99 a piece and as always you can pre order a box or two or even a case at www.diceaddiction.com. Set available on August 7th.
