Willam admired the glistening ivory spires that scratched the sky all around him as he left the Ivory Fields. Willam’s mission: recruit the Ivores that lived in the castle fortress underground to the Commonwealth.
He’d failed.

The spires trembled as the sand parted, revealing the Ivory war beasts that waited underneath to defend the fields. Opylae, the war beast of the Ivores, blocked the mint dragon’s attack. The Ivore King sat on its back and nodded to Willam.
